OTAGO CINE CLUB
Travel Films Screened The Otago Cinephotographic Club entertained members of the Police Social Club at its last meeting. Mr A. S. Goldsmith, of Wellington, who recently returned from a tour of the United States, screened a 16mm colour film of his tour, which included many of the large cities and showed glimpses of American life and entertainment. Incidental music and commentary was provided by a tape recorder. After the supper interval, Mr Goldsmith spoke on some interesting sidelights of his tour and discussed conditions in America. He completed his programme by screening three entertaining sound films. The president, Mr J. B. Thomson, thanked Mr Goldsmith on behalf of the Cine Club and Sergeant Leadly expressed the thanks of the Police Social Club.
