British Championship NZP A—Copyright Rec. 9 p.m. LONDON. May 16. Miss E. Price, of Surrey, today scored two great wins in the British Women’s Golf Championship being played at the Royal County Down links. Northern Ireland. Miss Price defeated the fancied Miss Grace Lenczyk, of America, 2 and 1, in the third round, and then beat the title holder. Miss Frances Stephens, of England, at the nineteenth in the fourth round. The field of 100 players has been reduced to eight, who will contest the quarter-finals. These eight comprise four British women, two Frenchwomen. one American and one Australian. Miss Judith Percy, of Queensland, is the only member of the Australian team of six to survive. The Australian champion. Miss Pat Borthwick, was eliminated in the second round.
