REDUCTION OF SUBSIDIES

Government’s Decisions Commended PA WELLINGTON, Support for the action taken by the Government in reducing, subsidies was expressed at Waikanae at a meeting of National Party delegates representing branches of the party in the Otaki electorate. The following resolution was carried unanimously:—“That this meeting of delegates from all parts of the Otaki electorate, representing 8540 voters at the last election, and as-, sembled in their own time and at their own expense, expresses its complete confidence in the action taken by the Prime Minister in announcing the lifting of subsidies, and marks its appreciation of a policy which will eventually bring financial equilibrium to the Dominion."
