West Indies May Indict Innings Defeat LONDON, May 15. i Surrey is facing'an innings defeat at the hands of West Indies in the match at the Oval. After the visitors had declared their first innings closed at five wickets ijor 537, Surrey was dismissed for 193, and, following on, lost three for 102 in the second innings. Weekes scored the first double century of the tour for West Indies. He batted for 355 minutes and hit 26 4’s. He took part in three successive century stands—l 32 with Rae, 247 with Walcott, and 102 with Christiani—and his score was only two below George Headley’s highest individual score for the West Indies in England.
