Christchurch Entry Wins Otago Sailor's Hornpipe At Oamaru
Special to the'Daily Times OAMARU, May 16. The fourteenth festival of the Oamaru Competitions Society was continued in Oamaru today. The main event on the programme was the Otago Championship Sailor’s Hornpipe, for competitors under 15 years. This attracted 14 entries and was won by Delphine Kavanagh, Christchurch, with Yvonne Hill, Dunedin, second, and Maida Lewis, Invercargill, third. Sword Dance, 10 years and under.
