Ship’s Cook Pleads Guilty

PA AUCKLAND, May 12. Thirty charges of theft involving clothing, money and jewellery of a total value of £493 were admitted by Anthony Joseph Samuel Haughey, aged 36, a ship’s cook, when he apoeared before Mr Malcolm C. Astley, S.M. The charges related to offences in Christchurch, Auckland, Rotorua and Hamilton. Among the articles stolen in Auckland was a parcel of laundry, the property of the actor, Robert Morley, and a watch, valued at £ls, belonging to his son, Sheridan Morley. The accused was committed to the Supreme Court for sentence
