PALMERSTON

Although there wate only a small attendance of buyers, a sound market existed for the light yarding of 438 sheep at the Palmerston sale yesterday. Apart from two pens of two and four-tooth wethers the entry comprised principally mediumgood ewe lambs which sold at prices showing an increase oyer recent sales. The cattle entry of 80 well-bred m.s. calves made from £6 to £7 55.. Quotations:—

Good two-tooth and four-tooth wethers, 51s to 53s 6d; good ewe lambs, to 475; medium-good ewe lambs, 42s 6d to 44s 6d: small ewe lambs, 30s 3d; small and medium wether lambs, 30s.
