General Manager’s Reply

PA WELLINGTON, Apl. 5. Commenting on the Southland farmers’ criticism of the Meat Board, Mr J. J. Evans, general manager of the board, tonight said: “At the midyear meeting of the electoral college, all matters raised of which due notice had been given were thoroughly ventilated, and everybody seemed reasonably happy at the result. The board is always happy to tell producers everything they may desire to know and to give them all the information about the industry, whether palatable or unpalatable. The general manager’s door is always ajar for farmers who wish to obtain information.”
