Several extra street lights have been installed in the borough of Green Island as the result of a deputation from the Borough Council meeting Cr C. J. Hayward, of the City Council. This was reported at the Green Island Borough Council meeting last night by the chairman of the Lighting Committee, Cr C. R. Freeman. There would be others also installed in the future, Cr Freeman said, and, added his appreciation of the action of Cr Hayward, who had inspected the area and realised the need for certain extra lights. His appreciation was seconded by the Mayor, Mr J. Boomer.
