America Building Up Strength WASHINGTON, Rec. 9.50 p.m. AP I - 3 - . The Navy Department announced today that two destroyers, two antisubmarine destroyers, and three submarines would be added to the strength of the Seventh Fleet in the Western Pacific. The navy has been building up the Pacific fleet strength since the Chinese Communists gained control over virtually the whole of the Chinese coast. The department said the transfer of the additional ships would be made during the rotation of nayal forces in the Western Pacific beginning on May 1. The department added that extensive training exercises would be held as the new ships went out and the ships now stationed in the Far Pacific were returning home.
