Flying Saucer Reappears In United States

NZP A—Copyright Rec. 10 p.m. NEW YORK, Mar. 21. A flying saucer with windows at the bottom and a blinking light on top flew over Arkansas on Monday night at tremendous speed. Two airline pilots reported this today.

The United States Air Force, which previously announced that it would have nothing more to do with flying saucers, has sent intelligence officers to interview the pilots. One of the pilots said: “We firmly believe that the flying saucer we saw was a secret experimental type of aircraft—not a visitor from the outer space. We are certain it was not a meteor. It was an aircraft in controlled flight. We were flying at 2000 feet when we noticed an intense blinking light about half a mile away. It was a circular object zooming along at 500 to 600 miles an hour in a wide arc. It remained in view for about 30 seconds. There were no navigation lights, but lights from 8 to 10 windows could be plainly seen on the lower side as it passed ahead of us. A strong blue and white light was flashing very rapidly on top. The object seemed to be about the size of a Dakota aircraft. There was not any exhaust or vapour trail.” In Portugal, Too

An Associated Press report from Lisbon says scores of flying saucers were reported by coastguards off the North Portugal coast flying in line and other formations. Coastguards said they were moving west “faster than tracer bullets.”

A number of persons in Oporto also claim to have seen’ the “ fire-balls.”
