St. Kilda Harrier Club At the annual meting of the St. Kilda Harrier Club, the retiring president, Mr C. H. Bissland, was elected to life membership in recognition of his services to the club over a long number of years. Mr Bissland referred to the excellent record of members during the season just concluded, culminating in the club winning the Hurring Memorial Trophy for relay championships. The club was also to be congratulated on obtaining its own clubroom.
The opening run of the season was set down for Saturday, April 1. The election of office-bearers resulted: Patron, Mr F. Jones, M.P.; patroness, Mrs T. E. Colombus; president, Mr C. A. Pope; vice-presidents—Mrs M. Keller was elected in addition to those of last year; club captain, Mr W. E. Mackintosh; delegate to the Otago Centre, Mr C. Simpson; treasurer, Mr J. L. Rayner; secretary, Mr C. H. Leary; committee —Messrs L Colombus, B. Gosney, S. Mcllroy, K. O’Connell, and R. Sim; auditor. Mr G. Ross.
