UNBEATEN RECORD SINCE WAR NZPA—Copyright CAPE TOWN, Mar. 20. In the final match of their tour, at Johannesburg, the Australians defeated a South African eleven by an innings and 88 runs. A hostile attack by W. Johnston and R. Lindwall dismissed three South Africans for the addition of only one run. Lindwall got his fiftieth firstclass wicket for the tour. It was the Australians’ fourteenth win In first-class games of this tour, seven having been drawn. They have maintained the Australians’ amazing record of being undefeated at cricket since the war. In this period, Australian test teams have played 67 first-class matches, Including tests in four countries—New Zealand, Australia, England and South Africa.
