SITTINGS FINISH

Licensing Commission WORK IN CENTRAL OTAGO Staff Reporter QUEENSTOWN, Mar. 21. The Licensing Control Commission —Mr A. M. Goulding, S.M., Colonel B. Barrington and Mr L. C. Nisbet —concluded its Central Otago sittings at Queenstown today, and will begin its inquiry at Invercargill on Friday. Since Monday of last week, the commission has held sittings in Roxburgh, Alexandra, Cromwell and Queenstown, and has heard evidence concerning some 46 hotels. As well as the sittings which have been held in country courthouses, the commission has inspected most of the hotels under review. Perhaps the most enjoyable feature of the Central Otago tour was a trip up Lake Wakatipu to Glenorchy and Paradise yesterday morning, when the weather was perfect. . Tomorrow the commission will inspect the four hotels in Queenstown and will inspect the Kingston and Garston hotels on its way to Invercargill.
