Cleanest Camp In South Island

In a letter to the North Otago Automobile Association, Oamaru, Mr W. M. Honeywill, of Christchurch, stated that he and his wife had been on a camping tour covering 1121 miles. The Oamaru motor camp was one of the many camps at which they had stayed, and it was the cleanest, and could not be equalled anywhere between Nelson and Bluff.

Mr Honeywill also paid a high tribute to the hospitality and work of Mr and Mrs Burgess, the caretakers, and concluded: “ The camp is a haven of rest, and we will certainly holiday t there again.”
