GERMANS IN AUSTRIA REPRESENfATIVE GATHERING PA CHRISTCHURCH. Jan. 23. The means to alleviate the plight of 300.000 refugees of German blood now in Austria, were the theme of an international conference held at Slazburg last week, states a report from the National Council of Churches in New Zealand. Taking part in the discussions were a representative of the Austrian Government, Marshal Plan Administration, Roman Catholic and Evangelical Church in Austria, the World Council of Churches and Caritas (Roman Catholic Relief Agency). The conference, one of the most widely representative gatherings to discuss relief problems of this nature, was convened by the Refugee Commission of the World Council of Churches.
