EARTHQUAKES IN JAPAN
Eight Deaths Reported Rec. 9.50 p.m. TOKIO, Dec. 27. Eight persons were killed, three seriously injured, and heavy damage caused by three earthquakes in the Nikko area, north-east of Tokio. Heavy snow, which was falling in the Nikko and Tokio area blanketed the earthquake-damaged town’s communications, but it is known that four of those killed were members of the same family. They were in a ; house which collapsed at Imaichi, a small town 90 miles from Tokio. More than 100 houses and the railway station were wrecked at Imaichi.
