DOUBLES TOTE
OPERATING AT NEW YEAR Special to the Dally Times OAMARU, Dec. 8. Arrangements have been made by the Waikouaiti Racing Club and the Oamaru and Kurow Jockey Clubs to operate a doubles totalisator at their New Year meetings on December 31 and January 2 and 3 respectively. The tickets will be 10s, but the question of which two races are to be coupled will not be decided until the acceptances have been received. The big race at each meeting—the Waikouaiti Cup, the President’s Handicap, and the Kurow Cup respectively—will be coupled with the other race at each meeting to be decided on.
