RAILWAY OPERATION
COMMISSIONERS TO CONFER PA WELLINGTON. Dec. 8. A (conference of railway commissioners from all Australian States and New Zealand will be held in Wellington in February, 1951. The commissioners’ conference will be preceded by a general officers’ conference in Wellington in October, 1950. This was announced to-day by Mr E. H. Langford, assistant general manager of the New Zealand Railways, who returned this week from the commissioners’ conference in Melbourne. Speaking of the Melbourne conference, Mr Langford said its great value was in the general exchange of views both at the conference and in' many informal discussions in the course of visits to railway workshops and operating centres.
