FRUIT FROM CENTRAL OTAGO FOUR DAKOTAS FOR TAIERI Dakota freighter aircraft operated by the National Airways Corporation will transport fruit from Central Otago as far as Auckland on four days this month. The Aircraft will leave the Taieri about 1 p.m. on December 21 and 22 and ori December 28 and 29. The bulk of the freight is expected to be cherries, but an officer of the corporation told the Daily Times yesterday that other stone fruit would be carried. Each aircraft is expected to take 75001 b of payload.

The fruit is to be supplied by fruitgrowers in Central Otago for the Christmas and New Year trade in the north. It will be transported to the Taieri aerodrome by rail and road.
