INCREASED WAGES
STOREMEN AND PACKERS PA WELLINGTON, Nov. 3. Increases in pay and a 40-hour week from Monday to Friday, inclusive, are among the . main clauses of the New Zealand (except Westland) storemen and packers’ award issued by the Arbitration Court to-day. , The wages for adult employees are increased by 5s from August 3, 1948, to June 1 this year, and a further 2s lOd from that date, making a weekly wage of £7 ss. There are increased rates for youths and for certain categories of workers.
