POWERS OF SEARCH
VEHICLES USING WHARVES PA AUCKLAND, Sept. 27. An extension of powers of search of vehicles using the Auckland wharves is contained in a remit approved by the Auckland Harbour Board for submission to the annual harbour boards’ conference. The remit asks that, in an endeavour to reduce pillaging the Harbours Act should be amended to give harbour boards the right to examine and check the contents of all vehicles using the wharves under their control.
