Foreign Travel For Western Zone Germans

Rec. 9 p.m. LONDON, Sept. 27. The Frankfurt correspondent of The Times says the Anglo-American High Commissioners announced yesterday that in future Germans in the Western zones and in the Western sectors of Berlin will be allowed to travel abroad without authorisation from the Allies. The occupation authorities still reserve the right to refuse an exit permit if it is considered that the purposed journey is prejudicial to Germany’s interests, but they wish as far as possible to give the Germans free access to the outside world and hope to reduce refugee and unemployment problems by allowing Germans to emigrate.
