Photo-telegrams of All Blacks’ Tour From South Africa

Arrangements for the establishment of a photo-telegram service between South Africa and New Zealand have just been completed, according to advice received yesterday from the Director-general of the Post and Telegraph Department. The service has been completed to assist in satisfying the widespread interest that is expected in the All Blacks’ tour, the director states, and will operate by radio-relay through London and Melbourne to Wellington. Several photographs have already been received and published through the service.

Photographs for publication in Dunedin will be received through the service at Wellington and forwarded to Dunedin by the first available aircraft. Conversely, should any member of the All Blacks become a father during the tour, his wife will be able to send him a picture of the baby.
