RONDELLE SUCCEEDS IN STEEPLES PA HAWERA, May 15. The second day of the Egm°nt meeting was held in perfect weather before a big attendance. The track was easy after heavy rain. The totalisator handled £48,891 for the day, compared with £50,165 last year. The Judicial Committee suspended F. Cleaver for one month for not riding Gay Rouen out at the finish of the J. Adamson Steeplechase. R. Bennett, the rider of Guerdon, was cautioned for not riding his mount on its merits in the Shorts Handicap. Results: Manawapou Hurdles, of £3OO.
