A GRADE JUNIOR SOLO CONTEST
PA CHRISTCHURCH, May 13. Stewart Cowie (Hawera Municipal Band), playing the tenor horn, won the New Zealand A Grade Junior Solo Contest organised by the New Zealand Brass Bands’ Association, held in Christchurch last evening. The judge (Mr K. -G. X L. Smith, Dunedin) said that the standard of playing was very high.
