CATTERICK BRIDGE APPEARS A SOUND JUMPING PROSPECT

Special to the Daily Times CHRISTCHURCH, May 12. The weather showed some improvement this morning, the rain having ceased and been followed by frost. The No. 7 grass track was very heavy. Some candidates for Amberley were out, but their gallops did not create much interest. ' Catterick Bridge and Wee Doria were mates over four hurdles. They went at a sound pace and it was a very attractive school. Catterick Bridge has had a little racing over hurdles and he looks a good jumping prospect. Wee Doria is, five-year-old mare by Battle Song from Doria. She is trained by G. S. Barr for' Mr P Curtis, but sne has not had any racing yeti Though Luminous Knight is one of the acceptors for the Amberley Handicap, he will not be a starter. N. Eastwood took him north last night and will ride nim at the Otaki meeting, where he should race well. Fantasy, a two-year-old by Lord Bobs Folk Lore.
