PLANE CRASHES INTO SYDNEY HARBOUR

Rec. 10.20 p.m. SYDNEY, Apl. 19. A Tiger Moth aeroplane, carrying two young men, crashed into the harbour half a mile off Manly Cove this afternoon. Three boys in a boat quickly rowed to the sinking plane and rescued the pilot and his passenger, both of whom escaped serious injury. The pilot was taken to hospital suffering from shock and immersion. The plane was later beached at Little Manly Cove. The machine was at 2500 feet when the engine failed. The pilot, who was giving dual instruction, took over, but had insufficient height to reach the landing ground.
