“THE GANG”

WINNERS OF £IO,OOO \ DESIRE TO REMAIN ANONYMOUS Three married men, all of whom have families and live in Anderson’s Bay, comprise “The Gang,” the Dunedin syndicate which holds the ticket which won £IO,OOO in a recent overseas consultation. The number of the ticket was 140827. As a syndicate, the three men had been regular investors in the consultation for the past 12 months and this was their first success. The men did not wish to have their names published when tFTeir identity was discovered by the Daily Times yesterday. One is a builder, one a tobacconist, and the other z musician.

“It is hard to explain my feelings,” said one of the fortunate investors when asked by the Daily Times what his reactions were upon receiving news of his success on Saturday night. “It was so sudden and unexpected that it left us all a little confused.

“ However, we will go on the same as if we had not won the money,'*: he said, and his remark was endorsed by the other two men. “We will all be at work to-morrow morning. There will be no extended holiday trips or anything like that. The money will be put into the bank as a tidy little nest egg.” The successful ticket was sold by Mr L. F. Bennet, a tobacconist, in Princes street.
