WIN FOR WAIHEMO EASTERN DISTRICTS CRICKET Special to the Daily Times PALMERSTON, Mar. 27. The Waiiiemo Sub-association’s A and B Grade cricket teams travelled to Waimate on Saturday and played matches against the Waimate Sub-association teams. The A team avoided defeat by playing out time It made 152 runs for the loss of nine wickets. Waimate, batting first, made a score of 209. The B team defeated Waimate B by 15 runs. Results:— Waimate A, 209 (C. Richardson 34 Fitzgerald 31, A. Lockhart 35, W. Millar 17. Barber 18; A. Forbes, five for 54, B. Allan, two for 46), drew with Waihemo A, 152 for nine wickets (W. Kerr 34, J. Vinnecombe 31. A. McLelland 12, B. Allan 13, A. Forbes 20, B. Robertson 11; Barber, five for 54), Waiiiemo B 105. defeated Waimate B 90. uolf Club At the annual meeting of the Ardleigh Golf Club, it was decided that the opening day for the season would be April 16 Officers elected were:—Patron, Mr G.
