SHOW GIRLS
Sir,—As an old lady, I thank “ Disgusted ” for telling the truth about show girls, who appear in tights or short dress showing off, tap dancing,' or strip tease. What good are they to young children? Nothing is more common than to see ballets of show girls displaying red garter marks round long bare legs. I don't like it or approve, and see no reason for unnecessarily short dress or tights. As for tap dancing, it is a crazy fool's dance. As for tap dancing in the nude, the police would soon close the show- up. I don’t let my children go to see tap dancing, show girls, or see films or books. Old people like me think they are not nice. As for a society for dancing. New Zealand wants one.—l am, etc., Very Ashamed-
