LADIES’ BRASS BAND

NEW INSTRUMENTS NEEDED CARNIVAL TO BE HELD To raise funds for the purchase of new instruments for th’e Dunedin Ladies’ Brass Band, it was decided at a special meeting held in the Council Chamber last night that a carnival be held It was hoped that a date could be fixed in June. The Mayor, Sir Donald Cameron was in the chair and Lady Cameron, patroness of the band, was also present. It was estimated that a complete new set of instruments would cost about £ISOO.
