“FALSE PHILOSOPHY”

Sir, —Methinks “ Incredulous Ike ” doth protest too much! My “ kid ” brother thinks, in cricket parlance, he is a tip-and-run artist, unreliable and lacking hitting power. For instance, his statement that ” price control is a screaming farce ” is pitiful, considering all the good it has done in keeping prices down, as judged by accountancy experts working on the latest national statistics on living costs, etc. Has your incredulous critic no sense of responsibility or fairness, or must he just allow his Tory mentalitv to run riot with logic? Likewise, hi s continued ” moan ” about the egg shortage is hopeless. Does he not know that farmers’ wives and others have been selling eggs on the black market, thus hoping to create dissatisfaction with the IMD? If he is serious in his desire to help our kith and kin in the Homeland to receive our eggs, why does he continue to moan about his lack of them? Cannot your critic try to be fair? But his latest complaint about young Immigrant trainee nurses leaving their jobs soon after their arrival here is his most childish effort yet. What, pray, has this to do with the Government. Have not women, young or old, changed their minds before the present Government took office? I think so!—I am, etc.. Young Sarah.
