SABOTAGE SUSPECTED

CAUSE OF MAJOR FIRE IN KARACHI COTTON STOREHOUSES DESTROYED NZPA—Reuter—Copyright KARACHI, Jan. 13. Sabotage is the suspected cause of one of the biggest fires in Karachi's history, which did damage estimated at £750,000 to-day. For three hours storehouses containing bales of cotton and cotton seeds were ablaze. The city’s entire fire-fighting forces were mobilised, and were helped by police volunteers and sailors from nearby naval barracks. Eight storehouses were destroyed. An official inquiry will be held.
