DOMINION NEWSREELS

PRESENTATION IN JAPAN KEEN INTEREST AROUSED PA AUCKLAND, Jan. 4 14. The New Zealand National Film Unit weekly reviews are being shown to Japanese audiences by the United States Military Government teams. The films have Japanese titles and sound tracks, which were added in the American film studios in Tokio. Reports from Japan state that they are followed with keen interest by the Japanese. The films are shown with other features, mainly educational. Because the National Film,Unit releases are not on a commercial basis, undertakings were obtained that the New Zealand films would be screened for audiences which had not paid for admission.
