EARLY START
HOLIDAY CAMPING CENTRAL OTAGO DISTRICT The holiday season seems to have started earlier this year, for our Queenstown correspondent reports that the cottages on the borough camping ground are already full and about 400 campers have successfully pitched their tents. It is estimated that 2500 to 3000 will have settled in at Queenstown by Christmas, and bookings are heavy until late in February. Yesterday was one of the best days so far experienced this summer, and the prospects . for continued good weather are promising. Other resorts and motor camps are also filling rapidly, over 400 having booked in at Alexandra. Many of these have been there for more than a week, and it is confidently expected that the total will reach 3000 during the peak season.
