Telegraph Ballot
PA WELLINGTON. Dec. 19. The question whether race meetings should be declared “ black ” because of the dispute that has arisen qver a national award for racecourse employees, and whether the co-opera-tion of the Federation of Labour should be sought, is to be the subject of a telegraph ballot of national councillors of the New Zealand Labourers’ Federation, Mr P. M. Butler, conciliation advocate for the federation, said to-night.
Mr Butler said the federation was also getting in touch with all unions who have workers employed on racecourses on race days. He added that the federation was prepared at any time to meet the other party to the dispute,
