DIVORCE CASES

UNDEFENDED ACTIONS

Mr Justice Cornish heard a number of undefended divorce actions in the Supreme Court yesterday afternoon. Decrees nisi, to be made absolute in three months, were granted to:Noreen Mary Willsteed (Mr K. W. Stewart) v. Ronald Desmond Philip Willsteed, one year’s separation under War Marriages Act; Amy Carvosso Sprott (Mr W. J. Meade) v. Sydney Sprott, three years’ separation under oral agreement; Winifred Jessie Mary Ann Nicholson (Mr R. A. King) v. George Edward Nicholson, three years’ desertion; Hubert Charles Duncan (Mr G V. Murdoch) v. Dorothea Karoline Duncan (Mr W. McAlevey), three years’ separation under written agreement; Clifford Haldane Smith (Mr Murdoch) v. Thelma Agnes Smith (Mr I. B. Stevenson), three years’ separation under oral agreement. Motions for the making absolute of decrees nisi were granted in five undefended cases. They were:—Queenie Hazel Heller (Mr F. W. Guest) v. Walter Thomas Heller; Mavis Sharp (Mr Guest) v. Thomas Harry William Sharp; Margaret Cherrie Dee (Mr Guest) v. Thomas Patrick Moore Dee (Mr I. L. Turnbull); Dawn Bryant (Mr 'Guest) v. John Leslie Bryant (Mr McAlevey).
