“NEW MOVE IN PRIMARY EXAMINATIONS Advice was received in Dunedin yesterday from Lord Webb-Johnson, president of the Royal College of Surgeons of England, that reciprocity has been established between the English College and the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons for their respective primary examinations. This arrangement, which would take immediate effect, conferred a valuable benefit on young Australian and New Zealand surgeons desiring to obtain ,the F.R.C.S. Eng., in that now those who passed the primary examination of the Australasian College were eligible to proceed direct to the London final examination, the Daily Times was informed.
