ARREST OF ALLEGED ACCOMPLICE

Special to the Daily Times CROMWELL, Oct. 29.

Stated to be an accomplice of Jeffrey Walter Francis Connelly in breaking and entering the counting house of Bowies, Ltd., in Cromwell, Noel Bretherton, a young disabled serviceman, appeared in the Cromwell Police Court before Messrs G. Wishart and W. Lynn, justices of the peace, to-day. He was charged with breaking and entering the premises of Bowies, Ltd. on August 22 and stealing £233 7s 3d. The accused was remanded to appear at a special sitting of the court on November 12. Bail was allowed in the sum of £IOO with a surety of £IOO. The arrest was made bv Detective Sergeant R. J. A. Berry, of Dunedin, and Constable R. F. Rusbatch.
