CROWN CASE CONCLUDED

REHEARING OF MURDER CHARGE P.A. CHRISTCHURCH, Oct. 28. The hearing of the charge against William Albertus Ivan Stuck, a butcher, aged 40, that he murdered Bertha Bessie Amy Day at Paparua on May 14, was continued in the Supreme Court to-day. The Crown case was concluded this afternoon, 49 witnesses having been heard. Counsel for the defence said he would not be calling any evidence. The court adjourned until to-morrow, when counsel will address the jury and the Chief Justice, Sir Humphrey O’Leary, will sum up.
