OLD FOLKS’ SOCIAL

The Otago Beneficiaries and Old Folks' Association held its fifth monthly social and dance in the Crawford Lounge on Wednesday night. There was a large gathering‘of members and their friends. An orchestra, under the direction of Mrs Clavton, supplied the music for the dance and also for the songs. The association’s choir presented the items " Land of My Fathers ” and “ Home, Little Maori Home,” and, in addition, solos were given by Mr Thomas and Mr J. Patterson and a trio by Mrs Mclnnes, Mrs Almond, and Mr lies. Mr Patterson (the president) and Mrs Page (the secretary) reported on the progress the association had made since its inception. .
