NURSES’ CHAPEL FUND

The building of a chapel in the hospital grounds for the use of nurses, staff, and patients of the Dunedin Hospital has been a long-cherished wish of the nurses A scheme to raise funds for this purpose was set in motion some 10 years ago, but lapsed when more urgent appeals were launched early in the war period. In 1942. however, the Student Nurses Association took over the fund, with two nurses as trustees, and through concerts, sales of work, community sings, and other appeals, the fund is gradually increasing. The community sing to-day, at which 60 nurses will appear, will, it is floped. add considerably to the fund, as well as bringing the scheme effectively before the notice of the public.
