COMING-OF-AGE PARTY
Mr and Mrs H. P. Dunne recently entertained over 100 guests at the Caledonian Club to mark the occasion of the twenty-first birthday of their daughter Margaret Mr George Mearns occupied the chair. Cable messages of congratulation were received from England. Ireland. and East Africa, and telegrams from various parts of the Dominion. After the presentation of the traditional key by Mr Dunne, speeches were made by Father Ardagh, Messrs S. McAllen. L. McGrath. J Elliot, D. Galt, and S. Maxwell, and the usual toasts were honoured. Items were given during the evening by Mr W Jeffery. Mr Morgan Fahey, and Mr and Mrs J. Wall. Dancing followed, and a very happy evening was brought “to a close with the singing of “Auld Dang Syne"
