DIVIDED RACES
REDUCTION IN FEES FORBURY PARK CLUB’S ACTION At last night’s meeting of the committee of the Forbury Park Trotting Club a letter was received from the New Zealand Trotting Owners. Trainers and Breeders’ Association, Christchurch, asking that where division races were likely to occur, the nomination and acceptance fees should be reduced to an amount equitable to the stakes offered. It was decided to reply that the club was in favour of its request, and that in future where races were divided, fees would be based on the stakes. It was decided to grant the request of tlie Dunedin Orphans' Club for the use of portion of Forbury Park for the purpose of tile annual outir.g for children of city orphanages to-morrow. A donation of £5 5s was made to the funds of the Royal Society for the Health of Women and Children. Therd were present Messrs B. S. Irwin, in the chair, A. Ferguson, W. H. Adamson. R. K. Aitchison. F. M. Anderson, J. E. Brunton, C. R. Hadficld, J. G. Henderson, J. A MacDonald. J. Richardson and A. G. Sime.
