RETURN TO EAST
DANISH MISSIONARIES A valedictory social to Brigadier and Mrs Arnland took place at the Salvation Army Citadel on Monday night. The Danish Salvationists, after 25 years’ missionary service in India, have spent their furlough in Dunedin with their daughter and son-in-daw, Captain and Mrs W.eggery. Major Chandler, the divisional commander, presided over a large gathering of Salvationists and friends. The Citadel Band, under Bandmaster Baylis, played the Danish National Anthem and the divisional commander presented the good wishes of the Mayor, Sir Donald Cameron. Major S. Horsham and Corps Sergeantmajor C. Brown expressed on behalf of the Women's Home League and local officers and soldiers of the Salvation Army respectively, sincere thanks for the untiring manner in which both Brigadier and Mrs Arnland had given service during their presence in the Southern Division
