INFANTILE PARALYSIS

THREE CHILDREN IN ONE FAMILY P.A. WELLINGTON, Aug. 4. The third child from a Wainuiomata family, a small girl who has been in hospital as a poliomyelitis suspect, was diagnosed to-day as positive. The child’s two sisters were diagnosed as positive cases some days ago. Because of the poliomyelitis outbreak, a party of Wellington and Hutt Valley children which was to have entered the Otaki health camp next Tuesday, will not be admitted. There have been no cases of poliomyelitis at the camp, where the children have been examined, and the step was stated by the camp authorities to be purely a precautionary measure.
