Railway Servants Seek New Minister
P.A. WELLINGTON, Aug. 4. The Woburn branch of the Amalgamated Society of Railway Servants has asked its national executive to request the appointment of a new Minister of Railways. The branch, in a note to this proposition, says the Railways portfolio should be a’one-man job and that the present Minister, Mr Semple, because of holding other portfolios, is showing a lack of interest in railway affairs.
