Modem Factory Almost Completed
What will, it is claimed, be the most up-to-date factory in Dunedin is nearing completion in Anzac avenue, and the owners, Williamson Jeffery, Ltd., hope to be able to start moving their machinery into the new building within two or three weeks. The two-storey front portion of the building will be used as offices and a warehouse, while the single-storey part at the rear will house the factory machinery. The amenities will include central heating, thermostatically controlled, and hot and cold water services. The firm intends to install its own electricity plant. From importing stationery, Dunedin has progressed to the stage where a great deal is sent away to the North Island. The “ export ” trade is expected to increase considerably when the firm is in full production in s ts new building.
