SILK’S CLEAR-CUT VICTORY NORTH ISLAND AMATEUR CHAMPIONSHIP P.A. HAMILTON, June 8. Continuing to play brilliantly over the last 18 holes of the 36-hole final in the North Island Amateur Golf Cham- ' pionship, B. M. Silk gave nothing away in his match with J 7 Jeffery, to finish the game at the thirty-third hole, winning by four arid three. He reached the turn in 37. one under par. while Jeffery negotiated the same holes in 39 With a little more luck in his putting, Jeffery would have made the game even more interesting, but Silk was the better player, and actually the issue was never in doubt.
